The Jofferey Ballet Hosts their Annual Spring Gala & you’re invited!

The Women’s Board of the Joffrey Ballet Invites You to the Gala Event of the Year

I’m taken to a different world when I watch some beautiful ballet. One of my favourite events to happen this year is The Joffrey Ballet’s Annual Spring Gala, happening on Friday, April 25th which will be celebrating the international language of dance, the company, and its educational programs. The 12th Annual Spring Gala themed “We All Speak Dance.” The Joffrey positively impacts the lives of thousands of children, teens and young adults—including more than 5,000 Chicago Public School children—each year through their Community Engagement and Joffrey Academy of Dance programs.

The black-tie event begins at 6:30 PM at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University (50 East Congress Parkway) with a special, one hour performance featuring dancers from the world-class company and the Joffrey Academy of Dance and Community Engagement Programs with pieces specially-chosen by Joffrey Ballet Artistic Director Ashley Wheater. The Joffrey continues to gain national and international prominence, hosting dancers, choreographers, designers and composers from every corner of the globe, many of which will be highlighted during this one-time-only performance.

The performance will be followed by a trolley ride to the Chicago Hilton (720 South Michigan Avenue) to enjoy cocktails, dinner and dancing as the Women’s Board hosts a soiree to benefit the Joffrey’s programs and performances. Guests will be treated to a delicious menu created specifically for the Gala by the Chicago Hilton’s Executive Chef. After dinner, the evening will continue with lively after-dinner entertainment from the Bill Pollack Orchestra, as guests join the Joffrey company members on the dance floor. Tom Kehoe of Kehoe Designs will transform the historic Hilton ballroom with spectacular images from the Joffrey archives.

Individual tickets are priced at $750 for the performance and Gala dinner and tables range from $7,500 to $50,000. For more information on tables, tickets or donation inquiries, please visit or contact 312.386.8911.
