Brunching on New Years Day

With all of the holiday stress of traveling and planning for 2015 for both locals and those visiting Chicago, one thought that may not have been on your mind is where can you grab a later brunch on New Years Day? Although a lot of restaurants and bars are closed on the first of the year, we’ve compiled a list that offer both accommodations and tables/seats available to re-fuel your celebratory tummies:

Nico Osteria at The Thompson Hotel

Located directly below the Thompson Hotel, Nico Osteria will be up and running with its daily Brunch menu on Jan, 1st. Comprised of light antipasti, filling friatti, a raw bar, and Amanda Rockman’s dolci items, this menu is a perfect combination of a savoury and sweet brunch. On the plus side, if you’re staying at The Thompson, or just arriving from last night’s activities, easy access to Salone Nico or an open table are just a few steps away.
