What to wear to a Holiday Party

We’re just about approaching this year’s holiday season, which means it’s time to start thinking about what to wear. With dress codes ranging from black-tie to ugly Christmas sweater, you’ll have to decipher what’s appropriate for your gathering. At the end of the day, it’s important to remember that fashion is about having fun and providing you with a platform to put your best self forward.

For this look I’m going for what we like to call ‘Creative Black Tie’. It’s a dress code that’s open minded in some ways and gives you an opportunity to flex some creative muscles. Think velvet blazers, bowties, printed shirts, silk scarves, and smoking slippers.

Tip: A holiday party is an excellent opportunity to go bold. Taking a break from your necktie and opting for a great winter weight bowtie can be the perfect finishing touch for your cocktail party ensemble. Choosing a wooly fabric in a dark neutral will set you apart from the crowd and add an element of elegance and sophistication to your look.
